Our Story

Some hunters are born into it. Others find it and never look back. For me, it was the summer of 1986 — I was 12 years old and stepping into a duck blind for the first time.

From that first morning on the water, I was hooked. Not just on the hunting, but on everything that came with it — the decoys spread across the marsh, the boats, the calls, and the way duck hunting felt completely different from anything else I'd ever done. Deer hunting is a solitary pursuit. Duck hunting is a community. The socializing, the camaraderie, the shared anticipation of shooting light — nothing beats it.

Saginaw Bay, Michigan is where I cut my teeth. Those cold mornings on the Bay shaped the way I think about waterfowl hunting and what it means to be part of that tradition.

Fast forward to 2001. I was looking for a creative outlet — something that would keep me connected to the sport I loved year-round. That's when C-A-T Calls was born.

Every call we make carries that same passion I felt as a 12-year-old kid on Saginaw Bay. Handcrafted, field-tested, and built for hunters who take their time in the blind seriously.
